The nominees of the sixth PSI Sustainability Awards

Around 100 submissions, over 80 nominees, a brand-new category and a total of 9 award winners: this is the stuff that sustainable stories are made of. On 4 November, the jury met and determined which submissions will move on to the next round. Get an overview of all nominees:
They convinced with their outstanding quality and safety management. Their products – whether from their own production or exclusive import – have certificates that exceed the legal requirements. They convinced the jury on November 4, 2020. These are the nominees in the category Economic Excellence of the sixth PSI Sustainability Awards.
Their environmental management is outstanding and their products are particularly sustainable from an ecological point of view. They were either produced in-house or exclusively imported. As sustainably operating companies, they convinced the jury on 4 November 2020. These are the nominees in the Environmental Excellence category of the sixth PSI Sustainability Awards.
They impress with particularly sustainable working conditions at their production sites: The nominees in the Social Excellence category. With their certificates, they have proven that social responsibility already begins with their production. The following companies were nominated by a jury of experts on 4 November for the next round of the PSI Sustainaibility Awards.
With their initiatives, they are committed to cleaning up the oceans, regrowing forests, emancipating oppressed women or preserving biodiversity. The nominees in the Environmental Initiative category produce their products in a climate-neutral way, sometimes house entire beehives on their company premises and focus comprehensively on sustainability, from materials to packaging to logistics.
They attach particular importance to social interaction, whether in their own workforce, in their environment or in aid projects and social institutions. They support with additional offers that go beyond the standards and show full commitment to the social and cultural community. These are the nominees in the category “Social Initiative”.
Sustainability is also increasingly in the focus of customers and consumers. They are taking a very close look at the ecological footprint of their products. The industry knows this. The following companies qualified for the Sustainable Products category and were nominated by the jury on 4 November.
Promotional products also require a platform and a creative marketing strategy tailored to the industry. Because sustainable products need attention. A coherent and comprehensive campaign is essential for this. The nominees in the Sustainable Campaign category achieved this with marketing campaigns in which ecological promotional products are a component of several coordinated communication and advertising measures and thus convinced the jury.
Innovator of the Year
The focus of the “Innovator of the Year” is not only on the sustainable product itself, but also on its story. This new category of the PSI Sustainability Awards answers questions that more and more consumers are asking themselves: What is really inside the products, where are they produced and what are the working conditions like at the respective production sites?
